By accessing or using the services of YICN Roofing ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.
Services Provided
YICN Roofing provides the following services:
- Roofing Services: Roof installation, replacement, repair, inspection, and maintenance
- Siding Services: Siding installation, replacement, and repair
- Guttering Services: Gutter installation, repair, cleaning, and maintenance
- Storm Damage Restoration: Emergency tarping, damage assessment, and repairs
- Insurance Claims Assistance: Support with navigating insurance claims process
- Inspections and Estimates: Free property inspections and project estimates
Service Agreements
Estimates and Quotes
- All estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified
- Final costs may vary based on unforeseen conditions discovered during work
- Written approval is required before any additional work beyond the original scope
Contracts
- All service agreements must be in writing and signed by both parties
- Contracts include detailed scope of work, materials, timeline, and pricing
- Changes to the contract require written amendments signed by both parties
Payment Terms
- Payment schedules will be outlined in your service contract
- Typical payment structure: deposit at contract signing, progress payments, final payment upon completion
- We accept cash, check, credit cards, and offer financing options for qualified customers
- Late payments may incur additional fees as specified in the contract
Warranties and Guarantees
Workmanship Warranty
We provide a workmanship warranty on all installations and repairs. The specific terms and duration will be detailed in your service contract.
Manufacturer Warranties
Roofing materials come with manufacturer warranties. We will provide all warranty documentation and assist with warranty claims when applicable.
Warranty Exclusions
Warranties do not cover damage caused by:
- Acts of God (severe storms, hurricanes, tornadoes beyond normal weather conditions)
- Negligence or improper maintenance by the property owner
- Modifications or repairs made by unauthorized parties
- Normal wear and tear beyond the warranty period
Insurance Claims Assistance
When we provide insurance claims assistance:
- We act as an advocate to help you navigate the claims process
- We provide documentation, estimates, and professional assessments
- Final approval and payment come from your insurance company
- You are responsible for your deductible and any amounts not covered by insurance
- We cannot guarantee insurance claim approval or specific settlement amounts
- You authorize us to communicate with your insurance company on your behalf
Customer Responsibilities
Property Access
- Provide safe and clear access to work areas
- Remove or protect valuable items near work zones
- Ensure pets are secured during service visits
- Notify us of any property hazards or special conditions
Permits and HOA Approval
- We typically handle required building permits
- Customer is responsible for obtaining HOA or architectural review board approvals when applicable
- Work cannot begin without necessary permits and approvals
Maintenance
- Regular maintenance is required to keep warranties valid
- Customers should perform routine inspections and cleaning as recommended
- Report any issues or concerns promptly to prevent further damage
Cancellation Policy
Before Work Begins
- Customers may cancel within 3 business days of contract signing for a full refund
- Cancellations after 3 days but before work begins may incur administrative fees
After Work Begins
- If work has commenced, cancellation fees will apply based on work completed and materials ordered
- Custom-ordered materials cannot be returned and will be charged to the customer
Weather Delays
- Work may be delayed due to weather conditions for safety and quality reasons
- Weather delays do not constitute grounds for contract cancellation without fees
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our liability is limited to the contract amount for the specific project
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We maintain appropriate insurance coverage as required by Ohio law
- Claims must be made in writing within the warranty period
Dispute Resolution
Good Faith Efforts
We are committed to resolving any disputes amicably. Please contact us directly with any concerns.
Mediation and Arbitration
If disputes cannot be resolved directly, parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action. Any legal disputes will be resolved in the courts of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of YICN Roofing and protected by copyright laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
